A Consortium for Health Supports a Chiropractic Community
“One-Day Gift of Love” Fundraiser for Alanna DeSalvo
February 12, 2009
Her father, Doug DeSalvo, a local
chiropractor, is faced with the daunting task of rehabilitating his teenage
daughter. Alanna is a determined young girl who is working hard every day on
her recovery. Her mother wrote this about her: "Alanna's attitude is
that full recovery is the only option. Please join her and us in this attitude
and spirit." ~ Angela DeSalvo.
Alanna's rehabilitation
requires many long term therapies that are not covered by insurance. So any and
all fundraising and financial support is needed.
A Consortium for Health has
come up with a plan for the Marin community of chiropractors to collectively
support one of their own.
A Consortium for Health Gets Involved
“It’s time to start doing something
locally, and to make a positive change for one of our fellow doctors,” say
chiropractors Heidi Law, Robert Adamich and Alejandra Robles of A Consortium for Health.
A Consortium for Health is
sponsoring a chiropractic community “One-day Gift of Love” fundraiser where multiple chiropractors in Marin County will be collectively working together to
make this day a success. Participating chiropractic doctors will donate 25% to
50% of all earnings generated from patient visits that occur on one day, February 12, 2009.
These funds will then be sent to the Alanna DeSalvo Foundation on Valentine’s
Day as a gift of love for her
continued care.
If
you are a chiropractic patient, urge your chiropractor to participate in this
fundraiser and schedule an appointment on Feb. 12th. If you need a
chiropractor, choose from one of our participating providers listed on our
website at www.aconsortiumforhealth.com.
Finally, another way to
support the DeSalvo family is by directly providing financial assistance. You can donate to their foundation by visiting http://www.alannadesalvo.org/fundraise.html.
Please mention how you heard about them. All donations will be greatly
appreciated.
